We evaluate the lot as a whole and agree on what we’ll take upfront, including older, incomplete, and nonworking equipment alongside reusable systems and components. You don’t have to sell the best pieces individually and then find another outlet for everything left behind.

Already have an ITAD partner? We can work alongside that relationship, purchasing worthwhile lots that fall below their pickup minimums or don’t fit their collection schedule.

We coordinate collection, document the transfer, and handle data-bearing equipment through our documented sanitization process—with records available on request.

For MSPs and IT service providers, we can purchase equipment from your own inventory or coordinate acquisitions involving your clients, with ownership and transfer arrangements agreed in advance.

Data Handling

Data-bearing equipment is tracked and processed using documented sanitization procedures that follow NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 guidance and applicable IEEE 2883 techniques.

Purge is our default sanitization target. Equipment that cannot meet the agreed requirements is held from reuse or resale while we coordinate next steps with the supplier.

Collection Area

Based in Columbus, Ohio, we serve the Greater Columbus area and can travel up to approximately two hours from Columbus for lots whose size and recovery value make the trip worthwhile.

We respond promptly and work to arrange collection quickly, helping you clear space and get another task off your list.

Collection arrangements are agreed in advance, including multiple trips when needed for the size of the lot.

About Genxtechie

I’m Russ Walters, owner of Genxtechie. Technology has been part of my life since childhood and the focus of my professional career. My experience spans cable television, cellular communications, mainframe systems, business phone systems, and internet services, including customer service, technical support, and supervisory roles. Most recently, I spent eight years as an IT Support Analyst.

My interest in technology goes back to the early 1980s, when I started with an Atari 800 and later ran my own bulletin board system. That curiosity never left. In 2025, I stepped away from the corporate world to build a business of my own around the technology I enjoy.

Today, I put that experience to work evaluating, refurbishing, and finding new uses for business IT equipment. Genxtechie combines a lifelong interest in technology with a straightforward approach to business: be responsive, treat people fairly, and follow through.
