Last week I decided to start collecting records. I bought an entry level turntable and have now visited two different used record stores.
I have discovered something satisfying about going back to physical music. Playing a record is full of intent and a slight bit of effort to play the music vs loading up a streaming playlist. I have a hard time explaining the feeling but the best I can describe it as is intent. There is feeling of intent when using physical media vs streaming. It’s a similar feeling to physical vs digital books.
I have purchased a handful or records and really want a collection that takes up a full wall. In this day and age of everything being released digitally, there is just something about have physical copies.
Here are the titles I have purchased so far, and pics of them.
